I always knew that having just a Bachelor’s in Psychology degree will not help me stand out from other fellow graduates. So when I came across the opportunity to do a compact continuing education program that was related to my interest I took it up. It was very different from university classes, they were much more interactive and experience based. The professors had tremendous personal on field experience to share which helped in understanding the theories. Even though the format of the courses was compact they were as thorough as they could get. Testing was not only based on exams but participation, attendance, creativity in assignment and projects was also taken into consideration giving every student an equal opportunity to excel. Since graduating from the program I have been in the field gaining volunteer experience in order to apply for my Masters in counselling therapy.
