The G.A.S Interim Semester is a one semester program for students who have had an unsuccessful semester but who will be eligible to return to their original program after one semester of successful study.

Eligible Students

The Interim Semester is a retention strategy for students who have had an unsuccessful semester at Humber and who have the potential to be successful in their current vocational program.

Interim Semester students must be

  • eligible to return to their vocational program after ONE semester of successful study
  • interested in returning to their current vocational program
  • able to take at least one program course in their vocational program

Students may take a maximum 80% course load.

Students Who May Not Be Eligible

Students may not be eligible for this program if

  • they do not wish to return to their current program
  • they have previously been enrolled in the Interim Semester
  • they are not able to take at least one vocational program course

These students may wish to continue at Humber by applying through OCAS for G.A.S. College and University Transfer.

Registration for GAS

Your coordinator will give you a registration sheet for the GAS Interim Semester. Please bring this sheet, with the program course designated by your coordinator, to K 201 (North) or A114 (Lakeshore). Enrolment start dates will be on your sheet. There are a limited number of seats in the program and students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to working with you.
